Who are we?
Explorer's Bay is a survival server that provides an adventurous and fun Minecraft experience with a relaxed and enjoyable environment, friendly community, & dedicated staff.
Our community is small, friendly and welcoming.
We are growing, and we are a fun & adventurous bunch.
Explorer's Bay is a survival server with Grief Prevention, McMmo, Quests, Jobs, Ranks, and more.
We have resetting worlds - the resource, nether and end.
Players are able to collect as many resources as they want in these resetting worlds.
We want our players to enjoy our server with kind, active and mature staff that act professionally, but also punish players accurately and accordingly when needed to do so. Most of all, we would hope that both our staff and players all have fun and are engaged in being part of our welcoming community.
Positions and Requirements
all positions are voluntary

Helper Rank
- Assist players with any questions they may have.
- Welcome and assist new players if needed to become more familiar with the server.
- Help to make sure the community is having an enjoyable experience.
- Try to contact higher staff if any issues or problems arise.
- Listen for feedback from the community and pass along to higher staff.
- Assist with promoting the server when possible - comment on social media, share posts etc.
- Moderating both in game and in discord to ensure a safe environment for players, free from annoyance and toxicity.
- Have abilities to punish players accordingly for rules that may be broken.
- Moderators are expected to be role models and help optimize the playing experience for players.
- Assist with moderating whereas they are on the lookout for rule breakers.
- Resolve issues and disputes among players.
- Listen for feedback from the community and pass along to higher staff.
- Try to contact higher staff if any issues or problems arise that you are not able to resolve.
- May plan and host events for the server and players.
- Help out on server projects whenever possible.
- Assist with promoting the server when possible - comment on social media, share posts etc.
- Assist players with any questions they may have.
- Welcome and assist new players if needed to become more familiar with the server.
- Interact with players and the community to encourage them to showcase their builds.
- Have the ability to use shaders and resource packs to take screenshots to share on social media and discord.
- Must be passionate about Minecraft and our server and be willing to post various types of media to our social media platforms and in our discord.
- Maintaining the community aspect on the server and our social media platforms.
- Developing connections within the community and handling disputes or interactions that go beyond that of a helper.

- Handling of staff promotions and demotions.
- Recruiting new staff members.
- Enforcing staff expectations.
- Monitor all staff and maintain staff team management effectively.
- Delegate jobs and tasks to the right people when required.
- Moderating both in game and in discord to ensure a safe environment for the community and staff; free from annoyance and toxicity.
- Build positive working relationships within the staff team.
- Manage any conflict that may arise.
- Someone with a vested interest in helping better the server and staff team.
- Working closely with owner and admins to communicate effectively and regularly.

- Be at least 15 yrs old.
- Have a clean record on our server - no infractions.
- Must be trustworthy and not abuse any privileges.
- Have knowledge to be able to take and share screenshots (record for evidence).
- Must be able to speak fluent English and be able to communicate well.
- Must be an active member in our discord server (have discord linked in game).
- Must be an active member within the server before applying for staff. We ask that you remain active while being staff.
- Interpersonal skills, be able to interact with players and other staff.
- Positive attitude, patience and good temper.
- Be passionate, hardworking and willing to give feedback on bettering the server.
- Have a mature and patient mind set.
- Be able to work as part of a team with others, but also individually.
- Have a willingness to be active on the server and get to know the community.
- Microphone is encouraged but not necessary for staff meetings.

Please note: If accepted, you will begin as either a helper or trial mod and will work your way through the various ranks. Each rank tier has a trial period to ensure a smooth transition. This is for a few reasons:
- So we can get to know you a bit and see if you are a good fit to the team before you are given all your abilities.
- Gives you an opportunity to demonstrate your skills and abilities.
- To give you an opportunity to learn more about our server so you will adjust better in your actual position.
- To give you a chance to get to know the community while you settle in.
