In the last few days I began working on an API which handles mob/entity NameTags via client-sided packets; therefore, plugins such as HolographicDisplays which actually generate ArmorStand entities can easily be ditched in favor of overall server performance. Here’s a sneak peek of what my API can handle:
Currently, I’m working on overall improving the packet caching system, in an attempt to store packets and display NameTags even when really far away.
If anyone would like to contribute, please don’t hesitate to contact me on Discord! Requirements are knowing NMS/Packets. Knowing ProtocolLib would also be helpful.
Results are shown above; the API handles sending 11 lines of text to a player for 150 different mobs (that is 1,650 armor stands), at 19.9 TPS, while on my local machine. It's a guaranteed 20.0 TPS on an actual dedicated server, since my CPU has to both render the armorstands for me and generate them at the same time.

Greetings. Another video of showing the amount of lines a mob can handle (it is infinite by the way, only dependant on your CPU, didn't add any restriction):
