Banner feedback

So I recently made myself a new banner (about time), and I wondered what others thought of it.
What would you do differently, and what do you think could be done better?

I feel like the "IVAIN" letters are too bright/glowing

Bottom text needs some drop shadow if you're using PS

not using PS but I can get it some drop shadow anyway.

Looks like a las vegas neon sign. Yes tone down the brightness, make it sharper.

the color pallet dosent really fit in with your background. The text does not match either. The blue border looks really weird considering your main text is a hex patter but the border is squares.

The outer glow is way to bright and the bottom text needs changed to just "terraforming" you don't need to reassure someone that its top quality they should already expect that.

Considering the extremely low quality of most terraforming I see on this site, I think that's one feature I'll keep. Also, what color palette would you suggest? It's one thing I'm great at in Worldpainter and terrible at in pretty much anything else...

after seeing ur portfolio, i feel like either work extremely hard to show how well your work is OR pay someone to make you a banner.

Your work is extremely well made and your banner at the moment does not capture it in the slightest.
Also instead of 'top quality tera' make it Terraforming Connoisseur or something short.[DOUBLEPOST=1480444742][/DOUBLEPOST]I honestly feel you should scrap this entire design and try again. This could be so much better in many ways. But thats just my opinion.

Getting rid of the blocking text on your beautiful terraforming would be one. Perhaps you could move the text to a definite region like the top of your banner or the bottom so its not in the middle just blocking the images.

as for paying for a banner, fair enough, that's definitely something I plan on doing (already wanted to order a thread design but choked on the exact content XD).
I also want to learn, however, as well as saving up for a PC, so I want to minimize costs (adding a banner to a thread design may be a tad too much despite reasonable prices on here). I can offer a service (not well known on here) to do a thread design or just a banner for cheap cuz I'm just trying to help out.
Also if your not on pc what are you on ? OS X? because if so I'm also on there and def can get u started with all you need.

Its more of the quality of the screenshots and how the text and color just do not match. Distracting from the builds themselves.
