Hi lads, ladets and people like Mick,

I need help. So I have a fairly old, pretty shitty motherboard.

Basically I’ve gone and ordered all this NZTX RGB shit, The Hue+ and Aer 2 140mm RGB fans to fit in my new case.

Me being a dumb ass, I didn’t really look into it all that well, but now I’m panicked. The Hue+ needs a micro usb slot to connect to the mother board, yet I’m not sure mine has that ffs, if anyone could check that would be lovely xx

I’ve spent all my money on this shit and ended up dumping the case and some other stuff on my parents as my Christmas presents so if this doesn’t work, you’ll see me in the begging section Kappa

My motherboard is the |

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

It may need a 5 pin Molex connector too. This will be attached to your power supply.

You can simply run a micro USB cable into your case if it comes to it.

I would suggest upgrading putting the money towards a CPU/Memory/Motherboard upgrade rather than some fancy RGB.

If it’s a microUSB, yeah, you should be just fine.

Otherwise, you could go on pcpartpicker.com and add your parts and check for compatibility (it will tell you).

Its very very rare for a motherboard to not have internal usb ports, look at the bottom row of little plug ins and one should say usb, you can also check your motherboard manual.

Why such a cheap motherboard

I just feel like this was a stupid question? Not everyone has £130 to blow on a motherboard, I got the pc like 3 years ago. It wasn’t that bad back then

I think he's surprised because most people invest in a more expensive motherboard for future-proofing. If your motherboard is weaker, it doesn't matter as much if you upgrade your CPU and GPU, because it'll hit its limit.

That said, from my experience you'll be fine with most brand motherboards, as long as you're not planning to overclock.

And I think his surprise is specifically because you go for aesthetics that cost money, but go for a cheaper motherboard. Most people would do it the other way around. My PC case is really basic, but as a result I've got a strong CPU, GPU and a lot of RAM, SSD and HDD, as well as a decent motherboard.

I'm not a heavy gamer or anything, my pc is used for useless shit, I don't play any super demanding games and I don't do any business things like rendering maps. I just want my shit to look nice.
