A lot more people want to buy capes now, but there aren’t enough to go around for everyone, therefore prices rose to adjust to the increased demand.
Before I went on vacation a few months ago, I sold a 2011 for my usual price of $200. Then I was getting a TON of messages asking to buy a cape, all throughout the summer, mainly 2011s but I had none, and buyers told me they couldn’t find anyone else either. Then before I know it, I have people offering me $250-$300 to get one for them and now that’s what they go for.
