Comments on Reputation

So i am not sure if this has been mentioned, But commenting on Negative, and Neutral reputation should be put into consideration. Alot of users abuse those reputation, you say something mean to someone in shoutbox and they go leave you a negative reputation. The Comment on Negative or Neutral reputation can be made by the person who received it, to justify why he received the Negative reputation.

Here is an example for a Negative reputation:
"User is immature and offended me do not deal with him/her" Left by Mick
+"here the user who received the negative reputation can give his/her reasoning why they received it"

How do you leave a comment on a reputation?

Edit: I know you said just click rep and view comments, but that doesn't show up for me. Or is that something only users with certain requirements can see/do?

If you click the reputation, you should see a page with an "Add comment button".
Click it, and you can add a comment which will be displayed to anyone who clicks on that reputation.
There are no comments by default until someone leaves one.

No, there shouldn't be any restrictive permissions for comment viewing.

Like what your suggestion is asking for. The person who received it.

I believe what he is trying to say is that when a user reports a false reputation, the comment left by the victim should be put into consideration. Sounds like a very reasonable suggestion to me since this has happened to me, and whoever reviewed my case was too lazy to look into it.

Ah i see it, so you will have to click on the rep to view the comment. This is exactly what i was asking but instead i suggested a tiny + sign under the rep to expand users comment but i guess the way it is would work too

As Justis has already pointed out, this is existing functionality in our reputation system.
