I hope everyone is doing well. Four years ago, I was a young man who enjoyed Minecraft very much and invested a lot of time and money in making several different servers. I come back to ask a simple set of questions.

- What are some significant ways the game has changed since 1.8? This could be mechanics, modes, or features.
- Has the server community grown or gotten smaller since 2016? How about the playerbase?
- Are servers still a popular place for people to play, or do most players use other methods to play the game?
- Would you recommend anyone return to this community to start a server, or is interest on a gradual decline? Would someone waste their time developing and coordinating a server launch?
