Company idea

I have been thinking about a market opportunity regarding a business model that many probably dont think has a market.

but i need some comments on this idea.

imagine making a website that sells Handicap scooter to old people.

Many old people dont have the amount needed to buy a handicap scooter since they are pretty pricy.

but what if i created a website where people can lend a handicap scooter on a monthly subscription for 70$ per month. including 1 year free repair service where i can go out and repair peoples scooters if they breakdown.

its just an idea but in my mind not a dumb one.

many people will think its a small market but i think the completely different.

In a way it is a good idea, not sure if it already has a market at all however the advertising here is difficult since you the audience you are targeting are elderly people whom don't use as much of social media or technology as a younger audience.

Overall, I think for a start up it might be a little pricey on your end, however if it kicks off it could be big. Oh and correct me if I'm wrong but this would be a local business at the start.

Im not thinking of aiming at the elderly people most old people who get the scooters recieve them from their children.

but i can always go out with flyers to peoples homes advertising this business.

and the good part is that i have contacts in china who can sell the scooters to me really cheap. thats why i see that i have a opportunity to make this kinda big. but i appreciate the feedback!

Can't see it working too well. Elderly people can get their mobility scooters with medicare/medicaid. They have no incentive to spend their own money on yours.

I doubt much would come of a set of ideas that have been done a plethora of times previously. What makes your business model stand out?

@Strahan Depends on what country your from. but i see what your trying to say but in my country elderly people dont get that option.

Knuula this idea has not been done before in my country so i see a good opportunity!
