I think we should have Mick purchase a custom coded addon from someone, to improve the vouches system. I propose in this addon, that when someone uses the word "vouch" or some sort of definite way to measure that they actually vouch, like in the scam reports, it should say "Pending Author's Approval", and only people that are approved for vouches can actually be visible on the thread.

when accepting the vouch some sort of box that says "Reason for accepting vouch" which could be anything from a screenshot of past transactions to a full out chatformat link, so that staff can verify the authenticity of the vouch. The reason would be displayed below the vouch, and if a user finds it suspicious they can report it and the staff could look in to it and verify if it's real or fake. Adding proof imo is the only way fake vouches will be reduced or stopped.

This is a good idea :)

I don't really understand what this fixes. I'm not trashing it, I just don't really see the point of it. Isn't the problem that there isn't a clear way to see vouches, not that owners aren't accepting vouches?

The problem is there's people vouching even though they haven't done business with them in the past.
That is true, but even if someone who never did business with you vouched, what prevents you from just accepting the vouch anyway because you want a free vouch?

I don't know, that sounds like too much of a hassle to me.

Why does anyone want something that makes them do more work? How is it a good idea to make both buyers and sellers have to jump through additional hoops to prove this? Just because some people are lazy and don't feel like researching the people they are doing deals with and thus get scammed doesn't mean that everyone should have to do this. Skill, why are you agreeing to this? Do you really want to have to provide proof for every vouch that's on your thread? Each time someone buys an account from you, you want to post proof of that transaction in order for it to show that the person vouched? This is extremely inconvenient for everyone who consistently sells products, and could even be a violation of privacy as some people don't want details of the transaction to be public, yet those people might still want to vouch.

And someone that has done past transactions with someone should still be allowed to vouch on their threads. What is wrong with the current system at all? All of you people just want change for the sake of change - there's nothing wrong with the way things are currently.

I stand opposed to anything on this site being added that makes me do more work.

Because it would make the site better and people more trust-able?

Introducing more work for everyone is a bad thing. Just look at people's post history and thread/sales history and determine for yourselves if they are trust-able. Why are people incapable of doing this? I don't understand how this shit is an issue at all lol

Because this site has 12 year olds that don't know how to do research like that properly.

If they can't research properly, though, that's their fault. If people aren't willing to take the time to see who they're buying a product from on the internet, they shouldn't be buying products off the internet.

Then they deserve to be scammed, and they can learn a valuable life lesson from being scammed. Twelve year olds shouldn't be allowed on the website at all, in my opinion, or be allowed to handle any sort of currency.

MC-Market.org is the home of Minecraft trades and sales, since August 2014. You've arrived at the #1 Minecraft Marketplace for domains, servers, plugins, hosting, advertising, websites and services.

This site is for everyone, so it has to be user friendly for everyone. Not just the people that know how to click thru a bunch of posts and profile's to deem if a person is trustworthy or not.
