That's what the banners look like for me.
I wouldn't have a problem with them except they somehow circumvent my adblock each time I load the main page again (dangit bebosny, beating the adblock plugin like that :p)

They're COMPLETELY off the charts. I have quite a wide screen, yet these humoungous things create a scrollbar that's the size of half my screen.

Browser: Firefox for windows 8.1

If you aren't using google yet I feel sorry for you. It's by far the best browser and is a 11/10 company that is expanding the worlds knowledge in just about every category. Why not use them
Because I tried. Chrome uses 2 times the RAM that firefox uses, at least for me. not to mention I've experienced 0 improvement in page loading speeds. I tested extensively, trust me. I see no reason to switch over to google.

oh, and let's not forget that's firefox with about a dozen addons compared to chrome without ANY addons.

Google had better search and other cool features. That's why I like it, it isn't just a browser, It has a endless amount of features and it will probably fix your little issue here.
just tested. it took about a minute to load the page, but it did eventually seem to have fixed the problem.

Also, since you're a chrome expert, is it normal to have 4 instances of chrome running from opening it once?

oh, and it installed "chrome app launcher" without so much as notifying me. Another reason I dislike chrome, it has no respect. I decide what I want to install, not Google.

The amount of separate instances has now escalated to 8.
Congratulations. This little test to see if your words had any merit has now convinced me to uninstall chrome again after my testing session

Usually not 4, but sometimes (like on my school computers) 2 pages come up and one will say to sign up for google chrome and the other will be a normal one. Also a minute to load the page, what computer are you running on?
its definitely not my PC, nor my internet connection. Idk what it is with my system, but having 8 separate instances running in task manager as well as ages to load a page...
Well, let's just say I'm content to remain with Firefox.

edit: I see. It has decided I need a separate process from chrome running for every addon/extension I have installed (I went to install my usual addons to do a more accurate performance test). that's completely nuts.

I'll take a look, but I doubt it. When I enabled adblock on chrome it didn't cause this.
My point is that I wouldn't have a problem with the bug if it didn't circumvent even my ultimate adblock :p
anyway, turning off and refreshing.

Whatever cause it to circumvent my adblocker just stopped working, but the problem still occurs with it disabled. So for the other firefox users out there, this may want some fixing. nothing majorly urgent ofc, but its good to be aware of it.

I think some users manually tried to block the element with adblock. Due to recent updates with ads manager, some of the style properties changed so some of the CSS might not be loading causing it to not align properly.

that might be it. and yes, I do manually block them. it works most of the time.
It does work. If you block it again now, it should work fine. This is just because of the update.

the blocking works fine, the bug itself is still there, but this thread can be closed now as far as I'm concerned.
