I would like to say that I'm not going to advertise this website in any certain way but more looking for members to pursue this.

For a while now, I've been bored with life (not getting many jobs as I expected) and want to do something rather... full-time.

I've been debating what forum I should make it since there are forums for every topic known to mankind. I always was a computer geek and pretty sure that almost on everyone on MCM is also.

If you guys have suggestions, please let me know.

I'm not making into another MC-Market copy, or some gaming forum. Since we have 7 million of those already.

It's an interesting concept, but quite possibly you could create some forums dedicated to learning server-side administration such as computer programming, linux/other system admin tasks, as well as anything else technical that is involved with Minecraft servers.

That's one of the things that popped into my head.

HF does that fine.

I'd have to disagree. Many users do not use HF due to an issue of morals and ethics, as many of the activities and data on the forum are not legal. Secondly, I have found information for Java programming, and Debian administration, however I have not found Java programming specifically for Minecraft servers and the Bukkit API, or Debian OS specifically for Minecraft servers. Also, having all of the information in one place would be more beneficial than having to poke around and dig for it through multiple pages of threads.

Anything not related to MC development wise can be found on the Spigot Forums.

I don't see large forum threads created with a tutorial/projects that users can attempt for themselves. While you can get nearly any question answered on Spigot, I was getting at a forums system that included larger, baseline, more community friendly projects that users could compete to create with their own spin on it, or just create it following the tutorial provided.

That sounds more like a wiki than a forums. MC-Admin tried your idea and it tanked.

Why would you make a forum/site if you don't even have a subject you're excited about? Lack of substance will just make a shitty forum that gets abandoned sooner than later... *cough* mcadmin *cough*

I was going to make a forum revolving around system administration and linux itself.
