So this one guy in shoutbox asked for a server resetting plugin a few days ago...
I thought that sounded amazing.
So last night, after finally finishing and uploading my gapple cooldown resource, I started working on it.
It was simple....
Create a new thread, shut down the server, then on the other thread, just loop through all the server files, and delete the directories. (plugins, worlds and logs)
Only I misplaced the File.separator character..... And instead of reading from the server jar's location, I read from my harddrive..... Deleting every single file, directory on my mac...

Everything I've ever made, bought, started... Even my 18k pictures of my beautiful girlfriend. <3 Gone.
I'm now months behind in plugin development.

I need to recover my files.

File#delete() like pretty much every other data deletion method doesn't actually delete the information, but rather marks it as available space.
That's why they say nothing is ever unrecoverable.

I was not using TimeMachine backups.
Every file recovering program I've downloaded, however, requires a $100+ subscription...
I don't have that money.
Nor would any logical person spend it.
And every time I try downloading a new one, I'm downloading on top of my poor data. ;-;

I can't do anything with my mac until I've got my stuff back.

If anyone knows of a free file recovery program for the mac, or knows how I can attain a ¢r@¢k3d version......
I'm desperate.

Update: I've overloaded my harddrive twice, with an incomplete disk image.....
Everything I had has now been overwritten by the one file..... It's gone.

RIP, GG, NO REDO. I'm toast.

Thanks for my concern, but it's too late for me. ;-;
Save yourselves...

NOW WHO WANTS TO DOWNLOAD MY SERVER RESETTING PLUGIN?!?! ;D
I just have to remake it first, because that got deleted too. >.<

2GB of recovery.... What I need would cost $99 with them. ;-;

Maybe as a last resort, I would recover some of my most valuable data...
But I lost over 6GB

Try contacting Apple? They save everything everyone does anyways.

Welp.
Downloaded a bunch of shet.
None of which were the data rescue 3.2 program.
Viruses were awesome though. Yum.

I have lost some stuff on my mac too. There are a few good recovery programs, see if this one helps you :)

I've already downloaded that one.
It shows me my files, but doesn't let me recover them unless I have them $100

Time Machine sucks in my opinion, Apple already has way too much information about me. Try OnTrack recovery, they have a free trial for Mac I think.

How is that going to get my data back? ;-;

Pay the $100 then if you are that desperate.
I AM that desperate.
But I've already said I don't have that much money.
I just spent everything I had on Christmas presents for the baes in my life.
