How come 18, 19, 20, 21 year olds and so on seem to have no money?

Same, 18 years old in the UK and got a job as soon as I left college.

Baffles me people can’t afford £2 when I spend £1.39 on the way back from work for a packet of fridge raiders lol

Hi,
I'm 17, from the UK and have a few hundred pounds/dollars. I'm worried as to why people older than me seem to be trying to scraping together like $0.60 or $2 as i've seen.

Do they not have a job? I'm probably going to end up getting an apprenticeship in a few months time after i finish college and so are others in the UK (or go onto employment, university or Further Education). I'm just worried as to why people in their twenties seem to have nothing.

Why can't they go get a job ? A full time job? Even if they had no qualifications, at least a part time job?

Explain please.
I also live in the UK and I am an 18 year old. I would say I have been job hunting for four years, looking to gain some extra cash since my uncle owns a small business. I live in a very secluded area in the North East and especially since the North East is known for engineering, it's quite difficult for an IT student to find a job in such a small place (in comparison to other places throughout the country.)

I had a chance at getting a job with my uncle last summer, however, my chances decreased when he hired my other cousin instead because he was bigger than me (not in a good way either, but he could lift things I couldn't), but he was disobedient and problematic when employed and got fired. So my uncle no longer has trust in hiring family members and so my chances of getting a job have decreased massively.

So there, you have a personal explanation of why one does not have a job in the UK.

Something called a bank account. Create one. Deposit money into the account, now you can use it
Takes time to bank transfer + I'm at the time where I can make and spend money without worrying

It does not take time to bank transfer. Only if your using your bank to pay for things and not your debit card

Because I like many others are focused on school and don't have time for a full-time job

Most don't know how to save. Compulsive behavior will lead to no savings, fucking them up in their late 20's, and early 30s when faced with the expenses involved with being an adult such as bills, mortgages, CC debt etc.

College loans are another as well

I think it's more money-management than anything. I'm 20 and have bills to pay. I have rent, my motorbike insurance and I'm saving up to move out next year - as well as paying for my food, petrol, general hygiene shit (not expensive), and I still have about £200-£250 left over every paycheck (bi-weekly). This is because I don't spend my money on stupid shit. I used to splash my money every weekend going out and getting pissed, but I quickly realized this was adding up to like £100 every weekend (cabs, food, pre-drinks, actual drinks, kebabs, etc). Now, I only go out maybe once a month (if that) and I'm saving hundreds because of it.

Now I work full-time, so this doesn't apply to everyone. Not everyone has this sort of money laying around. If you're in school, college, university, etc., then you may not be earning a couple thousand a month like me. But there's still things people can do to save money. Obviously in America you have tuition fees to pay for (unlucky lmao), which is fair enough, but I think there are people on here that seem to waste their money on senseless shit and then start begging for a dollar lol. It's just to do with money-management and seeing if you can find ways to get extra income on the side. Hell, I used to do online surveys whilst at college and that's how I bought my rank on here... Loads of ways you can make money online but I just don't think the initiative is there for some people.

Most teens now-adays spend their money on vape shit & weed, shoes an clothes. Along side that, majority of them party..
Teenagers always did that, there’s more of a demand for it now than before though. That’s not the reasonnwhy most people don’t have money now, it’s because they grow up either with money or without money and decided to keep it that way. If they were grown with money they would have the mentality thst lifes set for them and they don’t have to work and then it comes time when they have to work and they don’t know what to do or what they’re doing and if they were grown without money some of they don’t have the motivation to keep going and make a better future for themselves. People also give up too easy and don’t have the same opportunities others do thats why most people should be grateful for what they have in life because theres always someone out there living a worse life who are just happy that they’re alive and breathing

Bank transfers count as e-checks when you pay for things - usually 3-5 days

Many people lie about their age. There might be an 11 year old saying they're 20. Or people just don't want to spend a load of money.
