Well last year we had Mathew coming through our area, and everyone was going "OH IT'S GONNA BE SO BAD", storm barely touched my house xD. I treated it as a short vacation, came back, my house was perfectly fine and my neighbors house had a tree through the roof. :>

I want a Cat 2 or 3 hurricane to hit my house, as I live so far from the coast we never get more than a thunderstorm for an hour xD Last time we had heavy rain was sandy way way back, and we got a foot of water in our basement.

And the only reason why they die is cuz they figure they are old anyways, so they either A. Do not care to leave. or B. They are to stubborn to leave.

Where I live, we rarely get snow, maybe 3 inches max. And, we get like no rain, doesn't get really hot here, not humid, no tornadoes, nor hurricanes, topical storms, nothing... It kinda sucks where I live, and I love the snow, because I make money soo. I will gladly trade you houses lmao.
Looks like it is going to hit Tennessee now. As a cat 1. So once it moves off the Florida coast this thing will really only be heavy rain and not much..
Just saying imo, if you havent left then they shouldn't have a huge priority in getting rescued. Not only are you putting your life in danger for something you know will happen and you should be prepared for (as in most cases you should know your in a hurricane zone), but your also putting the lives of the rescuers in danger. It wont change that your house will get destroyed, but its better to have that then to risk peoples lives to save someone that is risking their own lives by staying.
