Age is not a dumb thing to judge people by. Most people would rather have a mature 18 year old make an HCF core for them than a squeaky 15 year old that has never seen $1500 in his life and will probably never even finish the project.

Want me to flame you up again? Some of the younger developers on here are actually going to have a future doing development if they want to and are good at it also most 15/yo don't have squeaky voices. Not to mention I bet most of the devs on here have seen more $$$ than you will ever see.

Flame me up? You're a trash 15 year old spigot developer who makes $100 a year forking joeleoli's plugins.

Wait, I fork Joel's shit? The last time I touched his code is back in 2016 and I dropped that shit as I re-wrote it. Also I am not 15, I am 14. I have made more money than you will ever see. You probably think that cause things irl for you are shit that going on a forum attempting to roast people is going to help. Get out of here, no one wants you in this community.

At least they know how to price things.

$1,500 is not a fair price for an HCF core whatsoever. A year ago you could get a custom HCF core for less than $500 from a good developer. It's these 14 year old skids that act like making an HCF core is rocket science. You could easily use an iHCF fork after a few optimizations at a high capacity with no problems. It would be much better than trusting someone who has never even studied computer science to try and make an efficient core.
You don't need to study computer science to be the best developer ever, look at the 12-year-old IBM Watson developer.

You don't need to be tall to play basketball, look at Isaiah Thomas. That's one person who did that out of millions. Saying that is like saying every shitty game you make in a few hours will be like Flappy Bird. That's an unreasonable way to think.
What I'm saying is age doesn't matter and you're caught up in your mind. You'd be surprised by the people smarter than yourself, who are younger than you.

Age definitely matters. If it didn't you wouldn't have to be 18 to vote and do pretty much everything else.
That's different than what Ambrosia is talking about. He's talking about skill not the age of majority. There are pilots that are in their young teens, a 13 year old that works as a software engineer for Google. The age of majority has no effect on your maturity, skill sets, and more. It's just more of a legal way of saying your on your own.

As I said, there is a 13 year old that works for google. Just like there is a person that is 8 feet tall. Also, the 13 year old that works at google is the same one that worked at IBM. Would you actually trust a 14 year old with $1.5k with no legal bounding to it to make a scalable HCF core?
Then, there is an 18-year-old that can vote, just like a guy that's 4ft tall, see how stupid you sound. And if he had the skill and portfolio I would trust anyone, regardless of there age.
