Hello people of MC-Market

Today, I am here to request for people to create a hosting company. I am 16 years old, and have a "Okay" knowledge about hosting. I do know the process but need some help in colonizing. I am looking for 2-3 CEO's ... Add me on skype for more information... NOT LOOKING FOR STAFF AT THIS TIME.. LOOKING FOR CEO's

The musts to become a CEO

  • Must have a "great" amount of money, do not add me on skype or post and say "I am getting it in a week"
  • Must have knowledge in Centos, Multicraft, WHMCS, Colonizing, Databases etc..
  • Must have the wanting to create this company.....
  • Be okay in grammar, and be the age of 13 +
My Skype is awesome.person123 and or PM me, if you do not have skype..

I am planning on taking this far...

Thanks,
Ice

What do you have to offer?

You should also research how this works. For a start, a CEO can't be 13.

Yeah. You should answer the following question in the OP: "If I am intending to start a hosting company, why should I do it with you?"
I do understand, that.. I did not create the service yet, but am looking for people with knowledge and money... hence I am looking for some people to help me out here haha! :p

I saw the same thread over on the Minecraft Forums: I honestly don't think that forming a 'company' with people you've never met under the proviso that you have the expertise and they have the funds is a good idea, because somebody is going to hurt.

Perhaps set this idea up as best you can with what funds you have and then open yourself up for investment or shares, giving you more creative control and influence as well as a more attractive and less-risky opportunity for an investor.

Just my opinions.

You're saying that you have little to no experience, nor the funds to do so, but you are looking for people with experience and money and the willingness to create a hosting company.

So why should such a person want to team up with you?
You're literally just asking people to carry you and make a hosting company for you.

I would suggest you get some funding first so you could at least contribute.
Then all you would need is the experienced people.

Just think about it..
Typically the people with the experience aren't the ones spending all the money because they are actually the ones doing all the work.

I totally agree with the people above and did try to say some of that. It looks like my hints weren't obvious enough.

Waste of time

The MC hosting market is owned by:

1) MCProHosting
2) GGServers
3) BeastNode
4) NitrousNetworks
5) Creeperhost

You will struggle and fail to get even 1% of the client base that any of the 5 largest hosts have.

This is very shallow, OP.

GGServers?! B******t.

Beastnode probably comes off as the most popular host, but honestly, you've listed some very high quality hosts in there and then put GGServers above CreeperHost, Beastnode and Nitrous?!

Quality has nothing to do with how large a host is. The hosts I listed are the largest hosts.

GGServers is shit but they happen to be the second largest host.

MCProHosting is also pretty shitty and expensive, yet they are the largest host.

I'm probably being too full of myself again but I still can't believe that GGServers is the second largest host... Then again, looking at the fact that on PMC half of server posts are "Recruiting staff" that have never played on the server, primarily based on a self given rating, it could be possible.

You've got to look beyond the scope of popular servers. There is over $10M USD spent on shared Minecraft hosting yearly and you have to consider the fact that most any popular/well known server isn't going to be using shared hosting. That leaves hundreds of thousands of random Minecraft servers with little to no player base on shared hosting, which is what keeps these companies going.
