Lately, I've been seeing a LOT of these in the build section. Someone that doesn't have a complete overload of ratings posts a build for sale, and at least 1 person posts "I've seen this somewhere, it's downloaded/stolen". They then fail to provide any proof, but have already damaged the users reputation or at least their thread.
Sometimes these discussions go on with said person swearing its true and saying they'll get proof. I've even seen a case where they actively went for disproving proof provided by the OP.
The point of this suggestion is that people that accuse of or imply theft can be reported for it, and a number of reports can lead up to a tempban for said user. It would make it easier to combat false accusations. Currently we'd need to throw in support and logic, turning the thread into a heated discussion. With an official option to report false accusations, it would simply be "report post", and the post gets removed next time a mod checks.
I've got a good example here:
http://www.mc-market.org/threads/33127/#post-381292
A person new to the site attempts to sell a build, without knowing that people on here require proof. Instantly, they are suspected. many people on here place the burden of proof on the seller, instead of on the people suspecting them.
This method assumes that anyone new to the website is a potential scammer or thief until they have managed to prove their innocence to the satisfaction of a suspecting member. This seriously slows down the flow of new members, thus choking the economy of the minecraft market.
I am not saying that these suspicions are unfounded. I'm not even saying that all these people are wrong by suspecting people. I would just like to make the community of this site accept that they should not post accusations, or even imply suspicion, without proof to back it up.
Oh and let's add the general Trashing of other people's threads to this. If you want to state for others that the OP is a scammer/ripoff/thief/horrible person to work with, do so in 1 post with proof to back it up. Then drop it.
This also goes out to the OP and their possible defenders. If such an accusation is made in your thread, Post counter proof once then work out your differences with the accuser PRIVATELY.
Do NOT start a discussion in the selling thread. I'll admit I've been guilty of this too, but its not that hard to start a private conversation, and it keeps the market forums clean.
