If I sell something and receive $850 into my paypal account, will my account be limited or frozen and they ask for additional verification? My PayPal account type is personal and made about 1 year ago and currently has bank and visa gift card linked to it, but not SSN or ID verified.

there is a decent chance you get limited or the money will be put on hold, I'm almost 100% curtain on that
if it is put on hold does it mean i just have to wait it out or have to verify something?

$400 has been the safe maximum per one payment and no limit in my experience

If you have a valid info, your account wont be limited/frozen.

it could even with valid ID already posted since they may want to investigate it and determine if business tax needs to apply to it or if it’s fraudulent. especially if it’s the accounts first time receiving a large amount of money like that

I got paid $1,000 in one day, and $1,000 in another day. No issues, no holds. I have a US verified account with ID, Bank, and SSN. Never ever had an issue.

You are not SSN or ID-verified so there is definitely a possibility of that happening. If your account gets limited you may be required to enter valid ID's such as passport, driver's license, utility bills, or previous W-2 forms. This would be bad if you are under 18 as that is against T.O.S Even if you waited till 18 and entered valid information you would likely get caught for making the account under 18 and therefore be violating T.O.S.

Yes, but before the $1000 what was your transaction history? there’s a lot of factors to be considered

Really only like $300, it was only opened like 2-3 months before hand and I didn't make much money.

You have to provide some type of identification, proving that you are who you say you are. Stick to $300 or less. $400 is usually fine, but I'd be cautious. Anything higher will definitely result in a freeze. You will be required to prove your identity to withdraw, or use any of the money.

Yeah both 1k payments were sent as two $500 payments and I had a SSN linked like I said so I was less likely. Do be careful if it's not fully verified and US based tho
