About us
PrevailPots is an upcoming practice PVP server that was created with only one goal in mind,taking the ELO system found in the famous MOBA game League of Legends, and bringing it to Minecraft. If you do not know how it works, click the spoiler below, otherwise, read on!
We opened for the first time April 23rd with the only advertising being trailer uploads from a few small YouTubers. We peaked at 80 concurrent players, with over 1000 unique joins. The server has 1v1 ladders with multiple different game types, and a 2v2 ladder. All stats are automatically synced on our website with MySQL. The server currently has over $900 put into it, and we are still looking to add more features. At the moment we have a staff team consisting of 2 trial-moderators, 2 moderators, 3 senior-moderators, 2 community managers, a general manager, a php developer, and lastly me. Hopefully you can be a benefactor towards Prevail.
What we are looking for
We are looking to bring on a full time experienced java developer to our team. You must be a mature individual who is dedicated to working hard, and finishing projects on time. You must fill the following requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience in Java and MySQL.
- Vast understanding of Bukkit, Spigot and Bungee API.
- Being able to hook into our other developers plugins.
- *IMPORTANT* Knowledge and experience in the practice/hcf community.
- You must speak fluent English.
- Be able to work in a team.
- Must be willing to sign a confidentiality agreement.
Your projects might vary from time to time, but from the beginning we are looking for a revamp to our existing ELO system, and a new tournament system. In the future you can expect to be working on things such as hit detection and knockback.
About me
I am a very organized, hardworking, and fun to talk to guy. I have been in the community for years, but decided it was time to turn my love for pvp into something worth while. This is the first server I have actually truly put 100% into. I have been working on this project since February, and hope to find a developer who can help us grow.
What you will get in return
Depending on what you are interested in, we can do equity, or monthly payment. If we do decide on monthly payment you will be paid a proper amount before each project, then the rest at the end of each month. This is so I can keep track of all my payments, instead of them being spread out.
