Hi, everybody! I start by saying that I'm "new" in the world of Minecraft servers, that's why I'm here to ask for advice.

I'm currently working on a very nice network. The main problem is that I'm not sure how to act to defend it from possible attacks. (By that I mean, griefing, opping yourself etc.)

I'll use JPremium, as I was advised, but I don't think it's enough. Suggestions?

Thank you in advance to all who will respond

PS: I don't need a manager, I want to do it myself.

  • UUID spoofing
  • Giving permissions to people you shouldn’t be giving permissions
  • 2fa for staff
Here’s three points you’ll want to look @

That still a thing? Kappa:rofl:
It happened to me yesterday, probably for a joke.
But, still, someone logged-in with an Admin account, on a Premium Server.[DOUBLEPOST=1598119991][/DOUBLEPOST]

I once convinced an admin on this network to give me OP by changing my name to a name very similar to the owners name. I nuked that server off the face of the Earth.

Follow Bungeecords firewall tutorial so people can't UUID spoof
Use Luck perms (also helps with uuid spoofing & doesn't have a crash exploit like pex)
If you're buying your own dedi get a sysadmin such as Jamo (if you use him he'll setup the firewall correctly and a ton of other stuff)
Don't be careless with permission and don't give people who ask for * perms * perms.
Don't use leaked or cracked plugins
2fa for stuff is a decent idea but not really needed for most servers.
Okay, I will. I'm currently using Pex, thanks for the tip :)
(For every tip :))

JPremium is a good plugin for cracked servers. If you’re using a combination of a VPS/Dedi make sure the firewall is good. Check the ports and make sure unused ones are closed and that they cannot be accessed from the outside (externally) if they don’t need to be. I would highly recommend getting a System Administrator if you’re self-managing.

If your Server is using BungeeCord also make sure to fix NullPing, Bot-Attacks and some kind of DDoS

Yes, I know, but I'm running a Premium server, also I already contacted Jamo as System Admin. Ty for the advice :)
