Planning is possibly the most essential part of creating a successful server, and I have created this thread to help myself better understand what it is I should expect as far as results for advertising for a new server.

What I need answered is the following: For every 1000 views on a factions server trailer, around how many players (on at one point), should I expect to see on the day of release.

Variables:
Very well setup server. Many custom features and very professional illustrations, website designs, trailer, etc.
Trailers are posted around 1 week or so before the server opens.
Opening time is a prime weekend time.

Depends on the youtuber, if they have a active fanbase who actually play minecraft or just watch it.
How about active?

It depends on the youtuber who is uploading the video. If the youtuber was a regular factions players most of their subscribers are going to play that gamemode, therefore they are less likely to join a hcf that is being advertised. If you find youtubers who actually play that gamemode I'm sure a lot of them will join.

I've been thinking that 1K views typically results in 25 people on at one point (during peak) during launch day

Does this seem reasonable?

Depends on how engaged their subscribers are. I usually judge it by looking at the average views, then compare that to the amount of comments and like/dislikes. You may find similar view count videos with major differences in likes/comments. In my opinion that could make a large difference.
