Hello,

I am in need of collecting some feedback from you guys who have ever owned or still own an enjin website.

I want you guys to tell me what you like the most about enjin and what you dont like about enjin and wish it would change.

I appreciate it if you just take 2 minutes of your time to answer to this thread.

Its layout overall is ugly and the websites itselves aren't very functional.

• Players can easily advertise through enjin after becoming friends with others via wall posts, message, etc.
• The layout is terrible, and it looks that same across every site unless you blow $300+ on a decent Web developer. I had the guy that made gotpvp's site and other large sites (Bert) to make one, looked decent but enjin updates only continued to break it as time passed, Bert pretended to be dead or something and refused to fix anything.
• There isn't much flexibility with the site and its layout.
• Apparently it costs to use it now, with some cheap trial plan avaliable to explot new server owners that hardly have money to run severs, etc.
• TS3 was broken half the time with enjin, most likely was on my side though.

Xenforo is the way to go for forums.

Mainly because of the design. It's extremely blocky and just doesn't look very nice.

well, RIP enjin. Looks like the curse of success has ruined another effective website platform. Sounds like you might as well use Weebly for a website now.

Even MCM's base is XenForo. Enjin sucks, like everyone said.

XenForo is the way forward, Enjin is terrible, I used Enjin for around 6 months, many bugs, and the design was ugly, I immediately switched to XenForo because of the more features and better design.

Can you tell me some of the main features you like about xenforo that enjin doesn't have.

Pros:

• Multiple themes are available for users.
• A ton cheaper (Yearly payment of ~$140 for the license compared to the ~$30+ per month for Enjin.)
• A very large degree of variety, customization, flexibility, etc through sites such as this one exist. (So recations/rep is more than just likes as on Enjin, cleaner looking chat/shoutbox, etc)
• More mobile friendly (in my opinion at least).
• Superior report system, I just remember when players reported a message on enjin that it was a huge pain in the butt(could be wrong on this though)
• Tagging users.
• Much easier to incorporate leader boards on your site compared to enjin.
• Many more web developers have worked with Xenforo than enjin.

Majority of the other features that make you content about mc-market for the most part, I just listed the major/obvious ones reasons.

Cons:

• I do believe you have to renew those resources/addons that you buy yearly as well, should still be cheaper than Enjin if you are just making a simple forum.
• If you do add email registration, your email will basiclly be spammed, could easily be resolved by making a new email and sending the spam of mails through that though.

I would recommend checking this page out for a more in depth analysis.
