Personally, I hate the new forum layout and it was briefly discussed before BeBosny basically shut it down. With that in mind, I say revert back to the old way that categories were laid out. Right now, it looks cluttered and it's pretty hard to find where things are.

Maybe that's the reason why you never found it ;) You didn't look!

There's a link to it in this thread.
Why would I want to look for something I was never out to find? That's like going to look for my long lost cousin Billy Bob who doesn't exist. :D

Maybe because your part of the forum? If you're not going engage in suggestion threads, you also shouldn't complain when these suggestions come out.

Yes! Please put it back at the top please. It's one of those things that everyone uses. Like for example some people use the "Builds" section and others don't but anyone can use this section.
A fair point, in theory... Only "Building" isn't at the top of the forums. The marketplace is.
And if you could up how many posts a person makes in all of the market forums, vs how many posts they make in general discussion... For me at least... General discussion is trumped.
General discussion is trumped just by the posts I make in the suggestion forum alone. :p And that's at the bottom.
This site is first and foremost a marketplace.
General discussion is something on the side for the community to enjoy, but it's not the focus, nor should it be.

I do look in the suggestions thread from time to time. I've only seen one thread about changing this, it was made by Overlord and it had about 1 comment, from a staff member.

Also, all the other suggestions are good, I agree with most the changes made, some of the forums needed to be reorganized, and yes the marketplace should be one for the biggest priorities by the General Discussion has been one of the biggest sections on here and a lot of people believe it has earned its place on the top of the site.

Perhaps if more members, such as yourself, made a greater effort to involve yourself in the suggestion forums, you could have a say in things you would or would not like to see implemented.
Nobody replying to that thread by overlord gives the impression that nobody has a preference, and since staff intended on trying a new layout for the forum nodes, it was accepted.
It's really that simple.

So basically according to your statement there anyone who does not post actively in the suggestions section has no right to have an opinion in changes? Also I think the reason people didn't reply to his thread was not because they didn't have an opinion, rather they didn't care.

You wave your right to having your opinion matter when you refuse to voice it.
It's simply a waste of everyone's time and energy if you wait until after a suggestion is accepted, processed and implemented into the site before saying "Oh wait, I don't like that".
If you don't care, if you don't have a preference, then continue to not say anything, and don't get upset when choices are made without you.
Otherwise, get your act together and make yourself heard.
I would certainly prefer that you did.

Will do, although it does seem quite. Few members share my opinion on this matter. Let's let democracy decide this.

It's like saying "wait there's a new president? I wasn't aware of the election and I didn't vote"
The suggestions section concerns everyone and should be at least perused occasionally. Maybe you'll find some interesting ones that you'd like to support, maybe you'll find some you'd like to argue against.
Maybe the staff can also do a weekly poll in the announcements or on the sidebar as to "Which suggestion do you want to see implemented next?", or something like that.
