I had 2 routers that were working. They stopped working, so I reset them both. I got one of the networks to work flawlessly. The other one I can't get to work. This one used to run and would work well. Both ran well. After I reset both, now this one (which never required the port plugged in) is requiring a wan port plugged in, but it worked before I reset them, without one.

Forgot to mention, the people who installed both routers must of had something configured/predefined in the 1 router for it to work like that. The question is, how would I fix this? Thanks!

I'd suggest calling your ISP. They'll know what to do.

Happens to me all the time, I unplug every single on off the cables and put them back in and it seems to work :p
I had done that at first several times, but it wasn't working at all, so I just reset both of the routers, then I got their settings back to what they were, except for the one router which I never had to mess with, but this time it needed to be factory reset.

Have you tried unplugging your ISP entirely?

On a more serious note, what is the one that's not working, 2G, 5G, etc.?

What do you mean unplugging the ISP entirely?

Turn it off and back on again.
If this method doesn't work then there must be a serious problem here.

Your routers must be WAY overheating, so what you need to do is put them in a Ziploc® bag, big enough to accommodate the sizes of both malfunctioning routers. It is crucial that you put both routers in the same bag for the next step, if not it will only complicate the process of rehabilitating these two. Proceeding to the next step, after they are both in the Ziploc® bag, you need to find a bucket and fill it with water and place the bag that contains the pair of routers in the water filled bucket. Please note that the water that goes into the bucket doesn't require a specific temperature as this bucket is to be placed in your freezer to bring the temperature of the water down. With that being said, go ahead and place the bucket in your freezer and leave it in there until the water is completely frozen, then remove the bucket and let the ice melt and then take your routers out. Once you take the Ziploc® bag out you can now take the routers out of it, be careful not to get water on them (this will fuck them up). Once all that has been said and done, give your routers a good ol' run and take note if they work or continue to malfunction. In the case where they continue to not work proceed to "next option".

Next option (if above doesn't work)
If the first instructions do not work then this means that your routers are really fucked, pretty much close to broke. Your last hope is to go buy an "Ambient Cooling System" from Koolance. I recommend that you buy the ERM-3K3UC Liquid Cooling System, Rev1.1 which can be found here http://koolance.com/erm-3k3uc-liquid-cooling-system-copper. This should be the solution to all your router problems.

Hope I helped, have a good day.

Nope, I think it was just getting hit off. I fixed the one router, just have to fix the other one.

Exactly, you were getting hit off so your routers were getting cooked (heating up). You still need to go through with the steps above. Kappa
