Shoutbox Lock Addon

Basically, with this addon, the staff can lock shoutbox chat temporary in order to calm all the users down from drama, events, or give warnings. Anyways what you guys think about this suggestion! I probably going dig deep by trying to find an addon for this.

Good in theory but banning the user causing all the flaming is so much easier and allows the rest of the user to still enjoy it. Either way, the chat lock would hurt more than benefit the premium users. It's not fair that the entire chat would be punished for 1-2 people's flaming/spamming. That's not even considering the expenses needed to make this possible since there is no existing addon that works with this shoutbox addon that mcm is using.

The thing is it's never the entire shoutbox. It's usually only a few people which the chat moderators are perfectly capable of banning. If this was an already premade addon, it would be fine as an extra perk to chat moderators who are usually overwhelmed. Since there is no need and/or very little need I highly doubt that a custom addon would be made just for this.

I've never experienced a case of the shoutbox going that crazy that shoutbox moderators can't keep them under control.
Even if it did happen, they are always able to calm the situation down by just asking. If you don't listen, you get warned. Simple as that.
