Someone familiar with GitLab

I don't think I'll be paying for this one as it's probably fixed w/ only a sentence.
Pretty much, GitLab is bundled w/ NGINX. (like an alternative Apache.) I wanted my GitLab to be setup on http://rhapsody.io/lab . I got it to work... yay! Only issue is that I want to upload an index.html to http://rhapsody.io/ . In order to do that I have to define a root directory in gitlab-http.conf. The problem with that is that any edits made in gitlab-http.conf is automatically deleted. It says at the top of the config file, "To change the contents below, edit /etc/gitlab/gitlab.rb" but I don't know what to edit in gitlab.rb to be able to edit gitlab-http.conf.

Why do I want to edit gitlab-http.conf?
