Hello,

I currently have a certificate with Photoshop and I've been thinking of small projects to do, something more than simplistic graphics for servers. So I though, why not try thread designs? Of course the ones that are not all normal text and rather a picture. Although, I do have some basic questions about them.

What are the general size for a thread design?
Yes I know the longer it is the more length you need, but what is the traditional with to make it seamlessly fit within the page.

What are some good colors to contrast from the background (white)?
If you have the traditional MCM theme then you may know that the background is white. What are some colors that fit nicely into the background.

If you can answer any of these questions, thank you.

Whats your certificate in photoshop for?
Graphic Design & Certificate of Teaching. Basically, I have the knowledge to teach a course on Photoshop if I'd like to and I have the knowledge to do basic graphic design.

if you're the graphic designer why are you asking us questions you would need to know the answers to? Isnt graphic design picking colors that go with shapes, and other colors. Whats the use if you're asking us?
Indeed, although I was just seeing a general idea that people use. Just because "I am one" doesn't mean I'm not curious about others opinions.

Just because he has certificate in Photoshop, it doesn't mean he knows how to do every single thing. I have a certificate in Dreamweaver, and what the hell do I know about making websites? I didn't know how to make a thread design either, we all start somewhere. We're born with legs, but we have to learn how to walk.

To be of some help, I use 2880px for the width, and height is just based on the many things are in the thread. Personally, I prefer to have the background transparent, so it looks good both on dark and white theme, and I don't have to worry about it.
