My opinion of Trump!

Personally, at first I though Trump running for president was a joke. But he's gaining popularity, and all I'm saying is that he will possibly treat America like a big project, having fun with it for a while, but then leaving it as a complete wasteland like he has with other things. In other words, Trump should not be elected. I live in Australia, so I don't particularly care, but that's my opinion.

That we should cut military spending back (to about $500 billion or so). Increase minimum wage to $16 an hour (or so). Cut taxes for the poor and the rich (not the middle class). Put some of that $117 billion into social programs such as medicaid/care, free health care etc (maybe welfare, as long as they have a job). Make schools better with some of that moolah (such as my school, where in the morning we do 4 45 minute periods of academics (and 1 period per week, wee have life skills/health) and in the afternoon we play sports, go hiking, fishing, play DnD, do work on campus (like build stuff like new buildings for money). And make lobbying illegal. And end citizens united.

Ok, here's my thoughts on your thoughts eh?

1. Cut spending back! I like that, we do need to get out of debt after all. So there we would cut out about 200 billion. FYI the debt is 18 Trillion, meaning it would take about 100 years for us to make back our money, not to mention the fact that we would still be losing more money than we saved from the 200 billion.
2. I read a lot of economic books, and although a higher minimum wage sounds good, here's why it's not. Let's say that company X has 10 employees that it pays $10 an hour. Okay? That's $100 total that they can afford to spend on wages. Then the government says that they need to be paying each employee $16 an hour, as you suggest should happen. That means that they can only afford to have 6 employees or so. So that means that 4 people lost their job, but 6 other people got a raise. You decide, is that good or bad? Not to mention that having to spend more money on unskilled labor would only be MORE incentive to have those jobs automated with computers, etc.
3. What moolah? As mentioned before, even after cutting the military budget 200 billion, we are still losing money at an alarming rate. What else do we cut? What do we sacrifice for education? That's a tough question, and i'm sure we all value education highly.
4. Why not just make everyone pay the same percent? A fair tax would eliminate loopholes. For Example: A poor man makes $10 an hour, and must pay 50% in tax. ($5), while a rich man makes a billion dollars an hour (hypothetical obviously), and must pay 500 million an hour! The rich man pays more of course, but it's still fair, and everyone is in the same position.
5. Fair enough if you want to end lobbying, I can get with that. But the problem with ENDING citizens united is that it's not a government organization. It's privately owned. You could always limit their ability to fund political advertisements, but disbanding a company is FAR beyond the govs. power.

I like him, he's smart and knows how to attract popularity and attention. You may not like him, but he's smart af.

Don't base an opinion on someone because they're popular and smart, vote because you agree with their stances.

You'll probably find that while most of the GOP is very smart, they have some outrageous social concerns. (Gay marriage, abortion, gun laws, etc.)

No offense, but most of you (excluding you knowledgeable adults and very few children that actually know) have no clue wtf you are Talking about and I can guarantee you are either mocking some bs your parent, friend, or an article said.

How else does one learn and form their own opinion than from another source? The only bad thing is people that follow a theme (trump), without actually listening or researching what they're thinking about.
