Hello!
I am writing to you to talk about a new server, VoltairRealms, which is coming out soon! I hope you're excited just as much as I am. VoltairRealms is a server with medieval/fantasy theme builds, custom plugins, and a disciplined and professional administrative team. The server will be opening with Prison, Creative, Factions, Skywars, Kitpvp and Survival Games too!

So besides all what the server is about let's get to the big question. I was looking to see if you guys could help us out. We need to recruit a full moderation team, two admins and a few builders. The admin team should consist of two people which would be one person from the EU and one from the US. Now for the moderation team we are looking for 8 trial-mods that will also be split up into four US trial-mods and four EU trial-mods. Then for builders we do not want to worry about where you are from because we understand builds take time and effort and have to work fluently through your schedule.

Note: If you speak good English, US and EU does not apply to you. Just add my Skype.

What is your previous experience in any type of moderation/administration?
I used to be a Helper on this factions server , It was a really great learning experience and the staff of the server are great, dedicated people. This means that I'm not new to the way the owner runs the server and I'm familiar with everything it takes to become a staff member. The reason I decided to resign the last time i was a staff member is because of the fact that a lot of my friends on the server stopped playing, the holidays came around and I didn't have as much time to play and didn't feel like I would be able to put as much effort into the server as I was doing before. But now I've found a new passion for the server which doesn't involve my friends, or any distractions. With it being as it is I feel I can make new friends, have even more fun and therefore be more dedicated to the job. I hope you would consider taking me back onto the team where I feel safe. I have managed a server before and I know how the servers works and all I have been Co Owner on this server until the owner was being immature and banned me and my friend which were staff members. We were also Head Admin on OP Network. Which got shut down after 2 months. I have much experience in moderating (the server and activities going on). I am knowledgeable of the commands used by a moderator and can solve player issues quite fast, either it be an argument, question or harassment. I am capable of accomplishing these tasks without the use of a command in many cases. I have experienced being moderator on servers. I also have experience running forums, gaming communities, and other sites of the like.
What makes a great staff member to you?
They should have maturity and they need to be consistent in their work. They should be extremely active and participate in most events.
Why do you believe you should be in the staff team?
I would love to keep peace on the server and due to my overall opinions nothing will really phase me as an insult, but I will gladly accept something along the lines of harass and appropriately take the steps in not having it happen again. On-top of this, I will spend a vast amounts of time on the server, so I would be ensuring chat safety in case no other staff are on or are AFK. I have much experience in moderating (chat and activities going on). I am knowledgeable of the commands used by a helper and can solve player issues quite fast, either it be an argument, question or harassment. I am capable of accomplishing these tasks without the use of a command in many cases.
Experience a situation where you are working with someone who has a completely different opinion as you. How would you resolve this issue?
Well, I would have to respect his opinion. After that. I would hear him out for why he would have that kind of opinion. We would have a one on one chat. I would need to tell him this and that. Maybe he was new and he does not understand the concept. So I would have to help him

What makes a great staff member to you?

A person who is confident and knows they are capable of server management and handling players in certain situations where things can get out of hand, a staff member who is kind and dedicated to take time out of his day to help others to me is a great member and deserves to stay on the team. Like say if I was a staff member I would try to work everything out to the best of my abilities, be confident, and help as many players as possible and give this server a good future for all future players.

Why do you believe you should be in the staff team?

I feel i am qualified to become a staff member at Voltair because i have worked and dealt with many player based issues. I personally believe that your server has a lot of potential and would like to be a part of the team to help make the community great and reliable for all players that join in the future. I am a hard worker, kind, polite, and always love to help out any players in need. I will always try to be as active as possible and settle as many issues as possible ingame/forums.
The server will always be my number 1 priority every day trying to encourage more people to join and hopefully making this server as amazing as i know it can be.



Experience a situation where you are working with someone who has a completely different opinion as you. How would you resolve this issue?

I would discuss things about his opinion over a private conversation where we could both work out our opinions and try to find a solution to our problem by trying to maybe change his mind on some things he may see the wrong way. I then would proceed to share my thoughts and then ask him some more questions and eventually work out our differences and try share the same opinion and anything he thought was wrong about me or something else I would try to fix or make better any way I could to not cause any arguments with eachother in the future.

Anything else we should know?

Strengths:

• I am very good at dealing with player-based issues ingame and on the forums and am able to deal with them to the best of my abilities always.
• I am professional while dealing with rule breakers and can deal with them in a very calm and simple manner.
• I am very professional while discussing with the staff team about anything important.
• I make the community my #1 priority while watching over the servers platforms and any issues i can deal with or anything they might want added i try to make happen

Weaknesses:

• Honestly with the servers i worked with i did not show any signs of weakness but some things i can work on personally could be my anger if a player just makes me very upset i might lose it but i am working on this and it is getting better everyday as i try to be as professional as possible while working with servers.

• Any players causing trouble spamming, being disrespectful etc. I would deal with using the commands i am given.
• I will always be kind to players.
• I will be active on the forums and try to keep them as clean as possible.
• Once i am able to receive a promotion within the team i will deny/accept threads such as apps, suggestions etc.
• I will always be looking out for server bugs and contact the dev immediately.
• Any small issues such as messed up player ranks or permissions i will fix in the config files.

Haha, tell me when you get paid for being a moderator.

I think what he meant was for higher up staff such as admin/ developer.
Moderators only really get paid if its a big server.
