I'm seriously asking this, because I've had some people insult my use of grammar and very bad typing skills etc. I'm asking is that what defines professional for you peeps.

Please take this seriously, don't trash the thread with funny gifs or pics, I like paragraph responses with thought and effort, I wanna see what I can suggest to people who are looking for "professional" qualities whether in a product, service, or simply a company etc.

There's quite a bit to "being professional" as people call it. For me it's just proper grammar and punctuation.

Professionalism can be viewed in different ways :) From having good relations with consumers to being good at what you do! :D It's all valid and reflects the seller as a whole.

I personally believe to be professional on Mc-market you must be serious with clients and be good at the service you offer. I'd recommend staying professional or "formal" when you are trying to sell your product, service or running a company.

If you are not offering services which require a level of grammatical skills or typing skills then ignore what people are saying :) They are usually the people who are full of themselves, stuck up and need to put someone down to boost their self-esteem.

To add to what Marthellio said, for me its having respect and decency for whoever you're talking with/working with, and just in general making well-thought out and mature points.

Professional. Basically you doing something for your profession, aka job.
How to be professional: behave like you're working for a big company and will lose your job if you get too many legit complaints (not people whining, but actual complaints).
Provide a level of quality similar to that.

Try to use the best grammar and sentence building you can. It's fine if it isn't perfect, some people just don't realize there are countries out there where not everyone is raised speaking english.

Something which I would find professional on a thread are the following ;

Correct spelling
Professional (In thread + replies)
Good looking thread
Looks like it took quite a good time
Sometimes grammar

*Optional*
Thread design

I don't find professional the following ;

Using "u" and "r"
Not knowing what you're doing
Looks unprofessional
Immature
I automatically am not professional to the grammar usage, spelling etc. XD As for taking quite some time to make a thread or post etc. I'd say that is agreeable.

There's quite a bit to "being professional" as people call it. For me it's just proper grammar and punctuation.

I think professional is correct grammar and punctuation, not trashing other peoples threads even if they are terrible, don't spam threads, keeping your post detailed and full of information if you are making a serious post. Just overall make everything people want but dont ever really exist socially, IMO.
Theres a point i have to disagree here and thats the trashing part. I'd say keep trashing to a minimum as long as the user who is being trashed is proven to actually be making a huge mistake such as scamming, being lousy with making posts, etc. I am sure i will get comments on this because i still haven't paid my investors... I am making progress on it -_-

Professionalism is - well, you need to know a lot about what you're doing, and be extremely good at it. In your case, that would be MythicMobs Configurations. You're going to have to use a decent level of grammar and punctuation, and one single spelling mistake can throw you off and even if it isn't obvious, people will be pointing it out and will be questioning your skill in your profession (In your case, MythicMobs).

Also, not using words that would make people think you're eight. (eg, using "excruciating" instead of "it hurts")

Google: "worthy of or appropriate to a professional person; competent, skillful, or assured."
If you're skillful at what you're offering, then you're a professional.
Fairly put, but I think what OP is referring to is the characteristic of being professional, not the actual person - if that makes any sense.

You can always look in to the free services offered on mc-market to have a thread written "professionally" :)

So you agree that trashing simple because an unreputable member made a post?
if there's one rule that you otta learn on MC-Market, is that you can't gain trust or reputation instantly or quickly like in a matter of hours... you posted a thread of being a middleman which I appreciate is a good service and a kind mindset to handle people's transactions, however no one would really resort to you because you haven't proven your reputation with a service or product that is known to reliably work.

Build up rep, then start letting people trust you so you can build even more. :)[DOUBLEPOST=1461694584][/DOUBLEPOST]
If you know what you're doing and can get the job done, you're a professional in your field. No matter how terrible your grammar is, no matter how badly you may be at interacting with potential customers, no matter how scrappy your thread may look. Sure, it's nice to have all of those things but they're not necessary. I've had just as many smooth transactions with users who know what they're doing but have bad grammar, no thread design etc as I have with ones that do. In the end it all comes down to your ability to get whatever job it is done imo.
BEST DEFINITION EVER SO FAR... LOVE THIS <3 describes me.

I don't think its fair to label the entirety of this site's userbase to be not professional... or know the definition of it... XD The point of this post is to see what people's definition of being "professional" is.
