Your IP address is not visible to the public at any time.

Controlling your personal information

This is provided as an alternative to deleting your account, and will prevent certain information on your account from being publicly visible.

Accounts are not deleted because the associated information is essential for the performance of the contract which our registered users enter into with us. The information enables us to ensure that aspects of our contract our not violated, such as ensuring that more than one account is not created. This is necessary in order to protect other registered users from those who would seek to utilize anonymity in order to harm or exploit them and escape restrictions so that they may do it again. It is furthermore necessary in order to retain potentially vital records in enabling our users to seek recompense through the court system.

We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your explicit permission or are required by law to do so. We may use your personal information to send you site information or other information pertaining to your account or your contract with us. You can adjust what types of communication you prefer to receive in your account settings

You may request a copy of your personally identifiable account information and you may request that any identifying information of yours be removed from public view. We may need you to specify the identifying information you need removed and its public location, in order for us to remove it on your behalf.

We do not view your private conversations unless they are reported and cannot verify whether or not private conversations you have participated in contain personal information. If there is personal information of yours contained within a private conversation, you must report it using the report function in order for it to become visible to our support team for removal.

If you discover any of the information that we hold for you is incorrect or incomplete, that you are unable to change yourself, please contact us as soon as possible so the necessary changes can be made.

We use Hotjar in order to better understand our users’ needs and to optimize this service and experience. Hotjar is a technology service that helps us better understand our users’ experience (e.g. how much time they spend on which pages, which links they choose to click, what users do and don’t like, etc.) and this enables us to build and maintain our service with user feedback. Hotjar uses cookies and other technologies to collect data on our users’ behavior and their devices. This includes a device's IP address (processed during your session and stored in a de-identified form), device screen size, device type (unique device identifiers), browser information, geographic location (country only), and the preferred language used to display our website. Hotjar stores this information on our behalf in a pseudonymized user profile. Hotjar is contractually forbidden to sell any of the data collected on our behalf.
