Hosting is very cutthroat on the pricing too. I doubt you'd be able to provide the price people have come to expect via AWS/Azure despite them being reliable services otherwise.
There's actually a member in this community pretty prominently asking every question under the sun about hosting and using a VPS to provide gameservers to his clients.
JasmeowTheCat can probably vouch that this is happening currently and she's probably seen quite a few others too.
Pretty sure the reason this was added was because reputation informs people's purchasing, it should only be regarding actual deals with a user. So people can't inflate their own reputation by being super nice, then cash out on it by being a middleman or something and scamming everyone.
I think there's always room for improvement.
I, however, have never had any issues with any of the staff members personally, nor any of the policies in action on BBB as a whole. And I continue to hope this remains the case for the foreseeable future for me personally.

If you don't have a moderation process for verifying the IDs are not fakes (this is incredibly hard if not outsourced), and that they belong to the user submitting them (i.e. provided alongside an actively recorded video from an app). The benefit of having IDs on file...
I think a reputation requirement shouldn't be required to have the trust involved with ID verification. There's no point.
You're still showing the site who you are whether you are or aren't high reputation.
