Solution: Dont obfuscate, open source it on github. If people wanna not pay for your plugin they will just get it off B.S. obfuscation wont stop that. Open sourcing it will help others and allow server owners to make addons to suit there needs easier.
Use github or bitbucket PLEASE...
As for a plugin imo you are better off contributing / fixing bugs on open source plugins, reading over them and understanding them will help you a lot more than making another shitter version of essentials (just saying). If that's not for you try making a big...
Definitely disagree. Most owners of large servers dont use Mc-Market much if at all but when they are looking to expand or sell there server they might post on here. That's what established servers is for yet it wouldn't be able to be used for that if you needed 10+ rep.
why bump this old thread? Anyway, for "proprietary projects" (the correct term is proprietary software but whatever) 99.95% of them are already on sites like that spigot leak site (sure your know what one im talking about) and obfuscating them isn't gonna stop people from re-uploading them...
Yeah however my point was more that IntelliJ is better (not really debatable imo, it has more stuff easier to use and just generally nicer) and so It would be better for him to use IntelliJ now and learn with IntelliJ rather than ending up switching in a few months and in the end wasting time...
Got to disagree with you here. Yea the code will be the same but IntelliJ has so many features eclipse doesn't that can help masks writing that code a lot faster. To name just a few:
Built in decompiler which is super useful for nms and in general useful while your learning
In built git...
That is true but the 'Investment' Doesn't have to be $$$ just Time and Effort. There is so many amazing tutorials on youtube plus places like spigotmc. If you stick with it and have a lot of free time you can get to being a pretty good java developer in around 2 months. I didn't buy any courses...
Need a mc market user, who has these skills:
Can post in the correct section and create informative threads
Not make 4 threads for the same thing in the wrong sections
If your an idiot feel free to get some common sense
PS: No bullshit ppl.
PPS: I find it halarious you posted in 4 sections...
