    If you know what you are doing you can make good stuff with anything. And PaintDOTNet (Not the link just the name), is a pretty good Photoshop alternative.

    I do not recommend doing so since it is illegal and if you were to be reported to C4D they could sue you (Blender is free! ;) ).

    Well the first problem is your trying to use mine-imator for a render. I use Blender personally (but some prefer C4D). I would give that a shot if you ever want to learn.
