Just make stuff. A tablet is just another means to an end, if you practice just like any other skill you will improve. Just make an effort at making what you want to end up selling.

Spend it on skins if you want, I don't know how old you are but if you want to then just go for it. I would personally just spend the money on steam games and food, but if you get enjoyment out of it then do it.
Logos tend to look kind of bad when there isn't a name or brand behind it. I mean they're clean, but they don't evoke anything for me. Maybe try making an alternate logo for an existing company?
Instead of a CD drive, you could always make a media collection depending on how fast your internet is. I have gigabit and can download mass movies etc really quickly. That way you could just save the money and the hassle of using CD's in the first place.

Pretty cool, I think a more consistent colour palette would be good, like just black and white. Also the E is pretty hidden behind the other letters, maybe space it out or bring the E to the foreground.

Just go and find a cheap Logitech mouse in a store, even the cheap ones are pretty good plus you don't have to pay for postage. Same with the mouse pad, you can usually find them for pretty cheap in store.

A bit of blank space and the layout of "The law of" should probably be standardized onto the top left or bottom right rather than alternating. Also, is there a particular reason as to why "Johannes Kepler" is small and semi-transparent like a watermark? Maybe condensing them into one like this...
