One of my friends have already got the 5950X and from what i have been told looks like decent amount of extra stock should arrive this week. Then i could order the server myself and do collocation this month as another option.

As AMD has just released the new 5000 series CPUs, I am now looking for the best price 5950X dedicated server located within the US. From my understanding most suppliers should get stock this week and currently aiming for the dedicated server by the end of the month if possible.
No sorry, i do not think a 8 core will work. I would then need 2x 8 core servers in the same location and would need to be a decent amount cheaper than the 16 core server. CPU scheduling handled by the OS is going to be a lot better than me trying to balance load between 2 servers.
From a quick look i can get this for around $155 USD, not sure i would be willing to spend $250 for the US location.
