YoDevison
Hello, My Name is Arcev [Formerly Devison]
I'm 21 years old college undergraduate for a CIS Networking associate degree. I'm Particularly a Windows 10 PRO user.
I started playing MC when 1.6.4 came out and I was intrigued by the simplistic design of simply walking around and surviving. It was and still is a unique game that I love.
Then I found that you can play on servers, that concluded quickly when I found the HCF gamemode and community. My friend and I always waited to play the next map of HCTeams and simply loved the community aside from its toxic nature...
Then I came up with the idea everyone else had at the time... "Let's make our own Server! ArcHCF!" So I did just that by having builders make the builds, editing config files, and messing with a little bytecode within the Core I obtained from online. Eventually, I believed the Server to be complete with a Hub Server, KitMap Server, and an HCF Server with Practice in the making, It was fun. by adding as much as possible that would be efficient and bump up to standards of an HCF Server running at that time.
However I figured out that my work was futile since I was running not on a dedicated box, but a shared hosting with multiple people, more on that later.
Aside from that, I met the YTer at the time named Exoh, got multiple YTers and Staff Members within the allotted timeframe I set for SOTW. So I became friends with a couple YTers and their friends.
When SOTW time came, everything crashed due to an overworked CPU and a decently broken(and leaked) core... it held almost 127 people and they kept coming in. I was disappointed and sad to the fact I didn't hold up to my end and ruined my EXP with my players, inevitably, leaving. Some people supported me after the crash of Arc, I told them I'm planning to rebuild but don't have the resources to keep going So it faded out of my attention and support.
So then I realized I must learn how to host a server properly with dedicated boxes and a little Linux management. So I learned a lot from a YTer's friend who was toxic but willing to teach me some things in Linux command line of how he builds his servers.
PrevailPots:
Eventually, I became savvy enough to head on to another location when Exoh PMed me and told me to hop in Teamspeak for a proposal. After joining that Teamspeak, Exoh offered me a System Administrator position in the Server: PrevailPots.
Exoh had a lot of resources and I hoped for the best by joining him.
He had his faults as well, he refused to listen to certain situations when his best friend who was co-owner started to act rudely toward to me to assert his position, eventually this led to him getting demoted and blacklisted on PrevailPots. By the time that happened, I had already left the Server and decided to leave the game completely. I've come back to it several times and hopped on the bigger servers to see what they had that was new. Nothing changed as of now(2017), but now I understand my skills have to be put somewhere and im hoping to find a better group of people to hang out with like on ArcHCF was.
About me In-Game:
All in All, I've never been a true toxic player, however I cant say that I've never been toxic, sometimes that can show when I become frustrated at something.
About me now: (2019)
I am a novice builder for the HCF Community and still love the server things related to HCF and its community. However, my life has gotten complex and staying online is difficult. Minecraft and what it represents is still in my heart.
About me now: (2020)
Hopeful future with running and developing Club Arc and its now updated resources and nice people.
Join Club Arc Discord here: CLICK Planning to ride the Hytale Train when it releases. (Dont quote me)
tl:dr : Minecraft inspiration, Server Management, Honesty, and urge to find new friends have driven me to become a active member of MC-Market! Give me a thumbs up!
