◈ What is SLPowerSkin? ◈
SLPowerSkin is a premium MMOItems addon that transforms weapon skins from simple cosmetics into functional power-ups. Apply a skin to your weapon and it doesn't just look different — it gains extra stats, custom particle effects on kill, broadcast kill messages, and unique lore.
Why SLPowerSkin?

『 ◆ STAT TRANSFER 』
When a skin is applied to a weapon, all numeric stats from the skin template are transferred to the item:

When deskinned, all bonus stats are properly reverted. No stat duplication bugs.

Add a
SKIN_KILL_PARTICLE stat to your skin items. When a player kills a mob/player with a skinned weapon, a custom particle effect spawns at the target's location.Particle format:

Supports all Bukkit particle types including DustOptions (color+size), BlockData, and ItemStack particles.
The MMOItems GUI also has a built-in particle type browser — type "list" in chat to see all available particles!

Add a
SKIN_KILL_MESSAGE stat to your skin items. When a player kills another player with a skinned weapon, it overrides the death message with a custom broadcast.Placeholders:

Setting up a PowerSkin:
- Create a SKIN type item in MMOItems as normal
- Open the item in MMOItems GUI editor
- Set any numeric stats (Attack Damage, Speed, etc.) — these transfer to the target item
- Set
SKIN_KILL_PARTICLE— particle effect on kill (optional) - Set
SKIN_KILL_MESSAGE— custom kill broadcast (optional) - Set
SKIN_APPLY_LORE— extra lore text (optional) - Apply the skin to any weapon through normal MMOItems skin mechanics
- Done! Stats transfer, particles spawn on kill, messages broadcast on PvP kill
Deskinning:
Use any MMOItems item with
CAN_DESKIN: true to remove a skin. SLPowerSkin will automatically revert all bonus stats — no duplicated stats, no data loss.🛡 Compatibility

- Ensure MMOItems is installed and working
- Download
SLPowerSkin.jar - Place it in your server's
plugins/folder - Restart your server
- Create skin items with the new stats in MMOItems GUI
- Apply skins normally — SLPowerSkin handles the rest!
No config files — everything is configured through MMOItems item editor.
Q: Does this modify existing skins?
No. SLPowerSkin only activates when skins have the new stat types (SKIN_KILL_PARTICLE, SKIN_KILL_MESSAGE, SKIN_APPLY_LORE). Existing skins work exactly as before.
Q: Will stats duplicate if I apply/remove skin multiple times?
No. SLPowerSkin uses a delta system — applying adds stats, deskinning subtracts the exact same values. No duplication possible.
Q: Does it work with custom resource packs?
Yes! CustomModelData is carefully preserved during skin apply. ItemsAdder, Nexo, and CraftEngine models stay intact.
Q: Can I use particles that need data (like colored dust)?
Yes! The particle system supports DustOptions (color + size), BlockData, and ItemStack particle types. Type "list" in the MMOItems editor to browse all particles.
Q: Do kill messages work on mob kills?
Kill particles work on ALL entity kills (mobs + players). Kill messages only trigger on player kills (PvP) since they override the death broadcast.
