Fusion Cutter Repair System
is a fully featured LVS vehicle repair addon built to transform vehicle maintenance from a basic utility action into a real interactive gameplay mechanic. Instead of the usual instant repair or simple hold-click interaction, this system requires the player to use a Fusion Cutter SWEP and complete a full 3-phase repair protocol in order to restore a damaged vehicle. The result is a far more immersive, skill-based, and visually premium repair experience that feels like an actual in-universe engineering process rather than a generic addon mechanic.The system is designed around three distinct minigames, each representing a different part of the repair procedure. In Phase 1, the player must seal structural cracks by holding click and carefully guiding the cutter through a live welding path without leaving the channel. In Phase 2, the player must reroute energy nodes by activating them in the correct order, with harder difficulty levels introducing deceptive visual feedback that can intentionally mislead the player. In Phase 3, the player must complete a thermal spot-welding sequence, clicking unstable heat points before they collapse. These phases are not cosmetic overlays or fake “press a button and wait” interactions they are real, playable, responsive minigames with failure states, progression logic, and visual feedback.
The addon is also built with serious backend validation in mind. Repair sessions are handled with proper server-side verification, including target validation, vehicle damage checks, attempt limits, session state control, and final repair application. A vehicle that is already at full health cannot be repaired, while even lightly damaged vehicles are still detected correctly and can begin the protocol. On successful completion, the vehicle is repaired to full integrity. On failure, the system consumes attempts and resets phases according to the configured rules, adding real gameplay tension without feeling unfair.
One of the strongest aspects of the system is its dynamic difficulty scaling. The repair process is not identical for every vehicle: the addon can evaluate the vehicle’s base health and automatically assign a difficulty tier. By default, lighter or weaker vehicles fall into an easier bracket, medium-health vehicles use an intermediate repair profile, and large or high-health vehicles trigger a more demanding version of the minigames. This means the repair experience naturally scales with the class of vehicle being repaired, making heavier and more valuable LVS vehicles feel appropriately more complex and technical to restore.
Visually, the system is presented through a premium DHTML/Derma interface designed to feel like a high-end Republic engineering terminal. The UI is centered, clean, readable, and animated without becoming overloaded or distracting. Each phase has its own visual identity, color language, and feedback style, while still maintaining a coherent industrial sci-fi presentation. The addon also includes a contextual mini SWEP HUD, subtle blur, integrated sounds, elegant transitions, and UI-generated iconography, all built to make the feature feel polished and product-ready rather than improvised.
From a development and server-owner perspective, the system is made to be modular, configurable, and expandable. The minigames are separated cleanly so they can be adjusted or replaced later without destroying the rest of the addon structure. The config allows control over difficulty thresholds, attempts, timing, node count, point behavior, tolerance values, sounds, visual settings, and general balancing. This makes it suitable not only as a finished product, but also as a strong foundation for further server-specific customization.
In practical terms, this addon gives servers something far more valuable than a standard repair SWEP: it creates a real gameplay loop around engineering and vehicle recovery. It rewards player skill, increases immersion, improves roleplay value, and makes vehicle repair feel meaningful.
