REVIEW:
Diamond was fast to bring content creators to me when I was in need of them for some streams for performance tests. I was extremely satisfied with that working relationship as the fee was manageable, and the results were there! This led my interest in his management services. He was very patient while waiting for our team to be ready for launch, and I was excited to bring him onboard as a manager at top dollar!
HOWEVER: My expectations for his management may have been set a bit too high... and with that said,
This is where it all went down hill. Diamond assured me that 3 weeks would be enough time to build some hype for a launch. Based on the services he says he offers, I wholeheartedly believed that this was true. But then 3 weeks passed, and there was no hype built. We got a combined total of about 2 tweets (with typos) posted by Diamond from our account where we were promised 2 tweets per day, a few discord announcements in our own discord, a J4J discord shoutout (which led to people who weren't joining for the server, but for the sake of whatever incentive there is in J4J), as well as a link up with a video editor to make short-form videos. The content creator that he "got" for the server was someone who I had already been connected with for the performance test streams.
To keep this simple, Diamond may know of all the things that need to get done for a management position, but putting them into practice is what is needed... and put into practice they were not. Accountability was greatly lacking throughout the entire process, pushing responsibility onto others.
To those looking to hire a manager, just remember that managing your Minecraft server is no different than hiring a manager for any other business/organization. Be sure to properly vet your candidate, and ensure that when you make it known they need to prove themselves, that they don't respond with "you already know my value".
