"Don't seek out the fair folk."
That was what the locals said. But some went on anyway. All that the townsfolk knew was they would never be seen again.
Sometimes, a lone traveller would stumble into the inn, sickly and pale, barely able to stand. Then, they would crumble into chunks of flesh, much to the delight of the owner, eyes glittering with an inhuman sheen, lips pulling back, revealing too many teeth.
"We told you, don't seek us out."
Was what he would whisper, as he, and the rest of the inn's occupants, descended upon their next meal.
