Hey so ive heard a lot about "Slots" but dont know much about them. Im pretty sure they're just slots for you server on a website that will be on the higher end so more people see it. Anyway im looking for some cheap but effective ways of advertising and where to go.
My server opened up on monday and has already gained a smallish player base threw out the day (2-5). I would like our community to grow and eventually have 20-30 players daily but that is will need progress. if anyone can comment below any good effective ways of advertising or more about "slots" and where to get one that'd be great.

I've seen people advertise by having other people use there signature on McMarket. (usually paying the person a few dollars a month)

I'm not saying this is the best way or you should invest into it, I just see people do that.

Honestly, the best way to make a server is to partner with a youtuber. I'll give you a quick rundown of each site.

minecraftservers.org: Top traffic site, will get you a ton of joins. It's very expensive however, from $50-$100/hour and players don't stay if your server sucks.

minecraft-mp.com: Cheaper alternative to .org, but it's not effective unless you rent 4+ hours. It's not too expensive, it's like $10-$30/hour depending on the time of day and year.

minecraft-server-list.com: Really good, but you need to buy the full slot and it costs a lot.

topg.org: Not bad for starting servers, although you really have to rent 1 or 2 days to see any improvements.

minecraftforum.net: Also not bad for starting out, but you do have to rent a day or so to see improvements. 1 or 2 hours won't do it like .org will.
ty for the help. I have around $70 budget
