I know this won't happen... But I heard a forum charged $1 to sign up... To verify you want to be part of the site and old enough to use paypal... It got rid of young kids/spamming... The admin said that it was the best thing he has ever done.

8000*$1, I can live with it.

Honestly - the reason I would never do this is because people of who do not have PayPal.. Although you should have PayPal if you're signing up to a Marketplace. I've found our Premium works pretty well to bring some more high quality users through, but there again - there's an awful lot of great non premium users.

and after paypals cut for $1 transactions you still would get a decent number .

On a forum I use to run I limited a user to only be able to post in select sections until they had 3 posts approved by a moderator (so posts didn't show unless were a mod of the forum / global mod)...with the number of people on this forum however may be hard as I do not keep tabs on your active mods / sign up rate... even 2 step approval for new accounts help less spam lol.
