Okay so this appears to be an ImageMagick extension error.

If Mick or Ajdin know how to fix this, they will need to look into things. If they have no clue, i can assist you guys.

(This is for the admins)

Visit: admin.php?tools/phpinfo in your xenforo installation and see if the extension is running.
check through the php/apache2 logs. ImageMagick will hang during avatar uploads, and not upload/resize them correctly if there are errors. Make sure it is the default image processor in ACP.

You need to make sure you install (or compile) the PECL extenstion for PHP.

(Assuming ubuntu..)

sudo apt-get install php5 php5-common gcc - This is a required library

sudo apt-get install imagemagick - I think you guys already did..

sudo apt-get install php5-imagick - Installs the needed php extension

Then restart/reload apache: service apache2 restart/reload

To verify it is running correctly:

Check the link i posted above for the admin ACP thing, and if you don't have that page:

php -m | grep imagick

Should return imagick.

Let me know if you have already done this, or you need more help. I know you guys Mick & Ajdin & all the other staff are very experienced and talented, but you know, there is always a chance you have never installed this before. That is why i am trying to help as much as i can with this!

Let me know if you guys get it all sorted out Mick & Ajdin . And for you nara~kavi if those two do not reply, keep testing it every once and a while. There is always a chance the extension is just hanging for some reason, and temporarily malfunctioning. So just try it every once and a while and if you notice it starts working on its own, Post here or PM me! (Out of curiosity/if it breaks again it could help find the cause).

I see. I was just confused because everyone was complaining they couldn't see it in the posts themselves, only on profile pages.
ah well im probably behind the facts.

Well, what is also happening is for some reason some users gifs wont work. So when they upload a gif, they can only see it on their profile, and other people will only be able to see their avatars on their profile as well, but yet, the user can see everyone elses gif's just fine on posts.
