High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

Yes, I understand that they are meant to be via reputation system. I’m suggesting a change.

Totally agree. As an American, I know this website is different but it feels like a violation of my human rights to not be able to vouch or devouch.

I half agree. I like the idea of being able to comment on a thread that the user posting it isn't good to work with but at the same time I know that I never check through comments beyond the first page and I definitely do check someone's reputation before dealing.
I'd rather we encouraged people to use the reputation system as the place to see the communities opinion on them and their service, this way we can at least handle a dispute more officially than just a reported comment.

Your title is misleading.

Vouches and devouches are already acceptable in threads.
The only requirement is that the vouch/devouch be for the product or service being offered in the thread, which the voucher/devoucher has purchased and thus experienced.

As per a couple of previous messages staff have made today, the flat out message was no devouches are allowed on threads.

If this is not the case, you can close this.

There must have been a miscommunication. If you could forward those messages to me in PM or support request, I can go ahead and ensure that none of our team members are confused about our policies on devouches, and will only be sharing accurate information going forward.

Effort to check reputation for that specific service, I'd rather see vouches.

As Justis has said, leaving vouches/devouches on threads is allowed as long as it is for the particular product or service, not the user themselves. It used to be far more common for someone to create a thread and have 10 people reply 'vouch" which is meaningless and not the correct place for those comments to be left.

Denied, thanks for the suggestion
