About Me

Hello, my name is ArcheryIsKey, or otherwise known as SuperSniper on Bukkit and SpigotMC. I am 14 and I love to create plugins for Bukkit/Spigot servers. I've worked with clients of all ages ranging from 12-27. I sometimes do free work as a sense of happiness when I help someone out that needs it but can't afford buying a plugin.

Things I DON'T Do
  • Minigames
  • SQL (Or Any Databases)
  • Bungee

ArcheryIsKey I HIGHLY recommend you learn SQL, it can help you in the long run! Maybe even look at MongoDB a little bit since it can be useful for plugins as well. :p

sooon_mitch While MySQL is very sufficient, you don't want to store little amounts of data to it. SQLite is great for caching things for a short amount of time and MongoDB is an extremely efficient NoSQL database. It all depends on the job you're doing, but he should just learn SQL syntax since it applies to MySQL and SQLite.

True and ArcheryIsKey its simple to learn the syntax. Maybe websites support it and help you learn it. And the syntax is very simple. Its sorta like talking in a way. 'Select * from `db` where hi=`hello`' It simply flows like English grammer especially if you name your database and columns the correct way. Remember that there is standardized sql database setups and you can actually rate what your database is equal to. For example, http://blog.sqlauthority.com/2007/06/04/sql-server-database-coding-standards-and-guidelines-part-1/ shows this off. Right now I am actually working to be certified by Microsoft to handle backend management and database management. I hope this inspired you to learn it :D
