Heyo,

Some time ago, I noticed that people were commenting on the discussions of one of my resources. With this, I had to manually check. Forgetting to watch the discussion, as it's something very easily forgettable, it took me a bit longer to respond then I'd like. To add on to this, if you don't watch a resource discussion thread for your own resource and people are having problems with it that means that you won't be able to tend to what they need unless you remember to check it.

Basically, what I want is for you to automatically be able to watch Discussion threads, this you can turn off in settings, but signing up, or later times when using the forums, it will automatically be enabled in your settings for you to turn off when needed.

*Disclaimer* If you want any more details into this, please comment below. Grammar and more may be off as I'm rushing because I am currently in school.

Would definitely agree!
I was in the same boots when I created bunch of resources and only a few months later realized people were asking me questions on the discussion threads.
Then I had to go back and watch all of them. But I never made a suggestions about it because I had the most resources at the time, and the second highest amount of resources was 20 resources. So, I just thought it was a problem only I faced, as most other authors had a very small number of resources.
But nonetheless I totally agree!

Unfortunately we never got around to making this (relatively simple) change for our XF1 site. In XF2 we're making significant changes to the way that discussion threads work with resources which will no longer make this relevant I believe.

With XF2 we're planning to remove the existing discussion threads for resources and instead allow users to link a resource with a thread in the existing product forums for better consistency and interconnectedness between the site. All threads are watched by default upon creation, so this issue will no longer occur.

Not sure if this really makes sense to be considered a bug report report or suggestion, but I guess denied is the best place for this.

Thank you
