I've decided to allow a closed-beta test with select individuals to aid in the testing of this script.
I'm not really sure if anyone else on this site is capable of helping out, and it's definitely not needed - but the more people that are able to test this script, the more stable it will be on final release.
If you feel you meet this criteria, please shoot me a DM or add me on discord. Frank#6617.
Otherwise, you can respond to this thread.
Due to the scope of the script, and how it works, i'm looking for qualified individuals who meet this criteria who may be able to help with the beta test:
1. Advanced level understanding of bash, including but not limited to:
1a. The operation of functions within a bash script
1b. A comprehensive understanding of awk, sed, and other text manipulation tools within bash
1c. Basic Knowledge of manipulating variables within a bash script
1d. Intermediate Knowledge of loops, and arrays within a bash script
1e. Advanced Knowledge of command substitution within a bash script
1f. Advanced Knowledge of subshells
1g. Advanced knowledge of Arithmetic Expansion within a bash script
2. Advanced level of understanding for Linux Systems, including but not limited to:
2a. Distro agnostic debugging of kernel-level issues that may be present on a system
2b. Advanced knowledge of the inner workings of: NGINX, PHP-FPM, Pterodactyl, IPSets & IPTables, including FirewallD and UFW, fail2ban, and multicraft
2c. Must be able to decipher and analyze error logs, including stack traces from dmesg/message, journalctl, nginx, mariadb, openvpn, php-fpm, wireguard, docker, pterodactyl, and multicraft to name a few
2d. Advanced understanding of Linux ACLs, including inheritences, full understanding of Linux permissions systems, with wide ranging permissions from 001 to 777 and the implications thereof
Some things may not be expressed directly, although if you understand these, it's a safe assumption that you'll know anything else that may be thrown your way during the beta testing phase.
Additionally, up to 3 other individuals who have (preferably) minimal to no understanding of Linux are to be chosen to test the script for ease of use. To qualify, you must be able to speak English that is understandable, clear, and concise.
If you feel you meet this criteria, please shoot me a DM or add me on discord. Frank#6617.
