Throughout the past few months we have been hard at work on some features for the site and they’re finally here!
Business accounts
Accounts for businesses are the largest feature for this month, and it was a system developed by the gorgeous beyond all fathomable comprehension or reason, Lyphiard. New business accounts can be created through your current account, or you may link your existing business account. Business accounts will act as fully functional accounts, but will come with a few changes and perks:
- Bump threads every 12 hours
- Trash own threads
- Able to use auto responder in PMs
- Exclusive ‘Business Account’ tag on account
- Unable to give out reactions and reputation
With this new system, you are now able to seamlessly switch between your normal and business account(s) without having to logout and log back in again. Additionally, you are able to add and remove users from your business account without having to disclose private information such as passwords. In the future, we plan on adding features such as the ability to create and manage multiple business accounts, as well as having granular permissions over which users can do what with the account.
Currently, you may only have one business account associated with your main account. By linking or creating a business account, you will gain unique and exclusive perks on the business account. We will eventually require that all business accounts be used through this system or be banned for the use of multiple personal accounts.
If you already have a business account, you are able to link it to your main account. Start off by ensuring that two factor authentication is disabled on the business account. Once you’ve done so, navigate to http://www.mc-market.org/businessaccount/link and enter the username and password of your business account. Hit the “Link Account” button, and the existing account will be automatically converted to a business account. Please note: By linking an account, you will no longer be able to log in directly to that account.
If you don’t already have a business account, you may navigate to http://www.mc-market.org/businessaccount to create one. Simply enter the username of your desired business account and hit “Create Account”.
Once a business account is linked to your main, you are able to manage all aspects of that account, including but not limited to: managing users who have access, posting as the account, and editing the account’s settings.
To add someone to your business account, navigate to http://www.mc-market.org/businessaccount and simply enter their username in one of the boxes labeled “Users accessing this account”. Then, hit “Update Settings” and the user will be granted access. You will be able to add up to ten users to a business account at this time (not including yourself). Please note: At this time, any user who is added to the business account will have full access to the account, including the ability to modify account settings. You, as the owner of the account, accept full responsibility for any actions made by the account. Please only add people you fully trust to the account.
Other Important Information:
Business accounts cannot be unlinked or deleted once linked or created.
To change the name on a business account, you must purchase Premium on the account.
Support system changes
Due to bugs and problems we had with NixFifty’s Ticket Support system, we have reverted back to the old system we used. We apologise for any inconveniences this could have caused, and if you had any support tickets that needed a response back, then please recreate it with our new system.
New trophies
Trophies is a system built in to XenForo, so we’ve decided to make the best of it and add in several new trophies for users to achieve. The new trophies we have are:
- 2,000, 3,000, 4,000, 5,000, 6,000, 7,000, 8,000, 9,000, and 10,000 posts
- 1,000, 2,000, 3,000, 4,000, and 5,000 reactions
- Associating a Minecraft account
- 1, 5, 10, 20, 40, 50, 75, and 100 positive reputation awards
- 1, 6, 12, 24, 36 months since registration

Rules revamped
We have reformatted and reworded some rules (again!). Now each rule has a specific warning associated with it which has been released publicly in a wiki post here http://www.mc-market.org/wiki/warnings/. This will make punishments simpler to understand for users and manage for the staff team. Thanks to Justis for his great work with updating the rules and writing the wiki article.
Though I don't see it being mentioned, there are some rules being added or modified in http://www.mc-market.org/wiki/rules/ as well.

- 3.6 Do not advertise products and services which you yourself do not own, have the right to redistribute, or which has previously been advertised in the last 15 minutes.
- 5.3.1 Do not bid anything you're not commited to paying. Retracting bids is allowed only at the seller's discretion.
- 5.4.1 Do not offer to sell any product or services belonging to a banned or suspended member on MC-Market.

Exclusive OG selling forum!
We are very proud to announce that we are releasing a brand new forum on the site that is only visible to the most trustworthy and reputable users! The forum is visible to people who have met an undisclosed criteria. The forum will allow for people to have a private place to list their accounts worth $200 or more. Please note that we are still experimenting and tweaking the requirement thresholds and that the system is completely automated. The system may take a few hours to catch up and allow all users who meet the requirements to enter the forum, so please be patient!
MC-Market Server closed
Unfortunately we have decided to close down the MC-Market Minecraft Server until further notice due to a lack of activity and interest from the community.
Other changes
Along with these fantastic major changes, there’s also a few small edits we’ve made to the site, including:
- facepalm emoticon added
- Changed “Twitch” subforum to “Livestreaming”
- Social Media Accounts bugs fixed with ratings and posting
- Bug reports and Suggestions for Onyx subforum created in Suggestions forum
- Non-exclusive thread prefix added to several service forums
- Twitter status added back to homepage
- Fixed @Lyphiard’s tag being selectable by users through Support
- Fixed typo in Suspension messages
- Fixed issue with Suspended users not being able to receive reputation
- Removed some blacklisted words from user title restrictions
- Chat addon updated to most recent version.
- Tweaked wording in ‘Low posts’ notice to be more accurate
- ‘Trade’ renamed to ‘Other’ in reputation system
- Wiki page created explaining warnings and rules (here)
- Developer and System Administrator ranks given icons (making the site useable again!)
- Coco resigned from the Staff team. (No, we are not looking for replacements)
