can’t take available name

hello so i was just asking what happens with this mojang cause when i try to take any available name that is free, it doesn’t allow me to... it was a name i wanted to take and now it says it’s available but it’s not!! it’s taken!! or that’s what Minecraft says... i have been waiting for this name 3 months! and it’s not like a og name
